SURVIMED OPD HN flüssig 15x500ml
A liquid consisting of peptides (whey protein hydrolysate), carbohydrate (maltodextrin), fat (MCT, safflower oil, rapeseed oil, and fish oil), vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Presentation
- Survimed OPD HN is a nutritionally complete, high energy, high protein peptide based liquid feed. Rich in MCT. Survimed OPD HN is ready to use and presented in a 500ml EasyBag tube feed.
- Gluten free and lactose free
- Halal and Kosher approved
- Survimed OPD HN is a Food for Special Medical Purposes.
Contra-indications
- For enteral use only
- Not suitable where enteral nutrition is not permitted
- Not suitable for infants under three years of age
Precautions
- Should only be used under medical supervision
- Use with caution for children under 5 years of age
Indications for use
- Survimed OPD HN is intended for the dietary management of patients with malabsorption.
- Survimed OPD HN is prescribable on FP10 for the following indications: short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of patients who are undernourished, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, bowel fistulae, dysphagia, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis and disease related malnutrition.
Dosage
Dosage should be calculated by a clinician or dietitian according to individual requirements. As a guide:
- For complete nutrition:
1000ml provides 1330kcal and 67g protein and meets the average adult recommended daily requirements for vitamins, minerals and trace-elements#.(#Dietary reference values for food, energy and nutrients for the United Kingdom, males aged 19-50 years, DH 1991).
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place (15-25°C), away from direct sunlight
- Once opened, the maximum hanging time is 24 hours. Discard any unused content after 24 hours.
Shelf Life
- 12 months from date of manufacture.
